CBD for dogs and cats.

What is in the line?

Two kinds of product. There is CBD oil in separate packs for dogs and for cats, in several strengths, with the same dropper as the oils for people. And there are hemp pellets for horses, rodents and birds, which is a completely different type of product: feed with hemp, not an oil with a CBD content.

Why are there no specifications here?

Because right now we can't publish them with a straight face. While building our product database, we ran into problems on the pet pages that we don't want to pass on:

• The strengths contradict themselves. A product's heading says 2.5% while the text below it talks about 3%, and on more than one page.
• Several cards on the cat page turn out to be copied word for word from the products for people, photos included. Whether those are separate cat products or the same bottles in different packaging isn't stated anywhere.
• For the hemp pellets, the entire product text was copied from an oil card, including the number of drops. So there is effectively nothing about the pellets themselves.
• The origin clashes. Colorado is named for the pet line, while everywhere else the brand talks about hemp from certified EU cultivation.

Retyping errors like these is exactly what we have cleaned up on the rest of this site, and we are not going to do it again here. Once the composition, the strengths and the origin have been checked for each product, the pet line gets the same treatment as the rest: its own page per product, with specifications from one database and a link to the batch report.

What do we know?

That the line exists and is available, and that the packs say 0.0% THC. We don't know for sure which carrier oil is used: the old product page names a different base from the one the oils for people have now, and as long as that hasn't been checked against the label, we would rather say nothing about it. We have no further hard data at the moment, and a pet-specific batch report is not yet in the batch finder.

Where can you buy them?

From our retailers, where you'll also see the price and stock. A page of its own for each pet product will only come once the data is right. Until then, the notes above also apply to what you read at a shop.

What should you discuss with your vet?

An animal is not a small human. Cats process some substances differently from dogs, and dogs differently from us, so what you read about CBD in people can't simply be carried over. Bring up at least: which medication your animal is on, whether it is pregnant or nursing, and whether there is a condition involved. If you have questions about the product itself, you can ask us through the contact page; your vet decides about your animal.

When will this page be finished?

As soon as the product verification is complete. We are updating the pet line in the same round in which the missing batch reports are added. Meanwhile, the products for people are fully covered on the products page, and you can always go back to the homepage.
