What 0.0% THC means at Renova, exactly.

The three extract types, briefly

Which definition does Renova use?

Renova uses a full-spectrum extract from which the THC is removed during production, down to the level at which the laboratory can no longer detect any. The other plant compounds, such as other cannabinoids and terpenes, are kept. That is the tension the word full spectrum raises, and we would rather explain it than hide it: classic full spectrum contains traces of THC; at Renova that component has deliberately been taken out.

So what does 0.0% mean exactly?

At Renova, 0.0% means: the batch report shows no THC above the laboratory's detection limit. It is a rounded way of saying "not detected", not mathematical proof of absolute zero; no laboratory can measure down to the molecule.

How do you check this yourself?

Look up your product's batch number in the batch finder and check the THC result. For nine of the ten published reports, it says THC was not detected.

Where our own reports fall short

Now for the awkward part. In the reading guide, checkpoint six says a good report states the detection limit, because "not detected" says little if you don't know how closely someone looked. Hold our own documents up to that standard and exactly one report passes: the one for the 3% oil, where Eurofins sets the limit at 0.0025% and reports THC below it.

The other nine only state that nothing was detected, without giving the limit. That doesn't make their result wrong, but it does make it less verifiable than we would like. We are requesting those limits from the laboratories and will add them as soon as we have them. Until then, this stays here, because writing a reading guide and not holding your own reports up to it would be a little too convenient.

What this page does not say

Renova is not the only brand with THC-free products, and this page makes no statements about drug tests: how much THC a product contains is in the report for each batch, and nobody can give guarantees about test results.
