Privacy statement: what we do with your data.

This site processes as little personal data as possible. This page sets out exactly what we process, what for and which rights you have. We wrote this text ourselves and did not have it reviewed by a lawyer; we would rather say so than leave you guessing.
Who is responsible for the processing?
The controller is 1337 Media B.V., the company behind the Renova brand, based at Laan ten Roode 2, 5711 GC Someren, the Netherlands. Its Chamber of Commerce number is 72266589 and its VAT number NL859052540B01. If you want to ask something or have something deleted, you can reach us at info@getrenova.com or through the details on the contact page.
Which data do we process?
Only what you type in yourself. With the contact form, that is three things: your name, your email address and your message. If you sign up for the newsletter, it is only your email address. If you email us directly, we have whatever you put in that email.
If you sign up as a reseller through the form on the reseller page, it concerns company details: company name, website, company registration number, country, sales channel, number of locations, the categories you are interested in, and the name, email address and, optionally, phone number of the contact person. Company details are usually not personal data, but the contact person's details are, so we treat the whole application that way.
Nothing else. There are no accounts and there is no web shop, so payment details and order history don't come into it.
What do we use that data for?
To answer your message, and nothing else. The legal basis is our legitimate interest: you ask a question, we may answer it. For a reseller application, we use the data to assess whether working together is a good fit and to get in touch with you; if that leads to an agreement, we process the data further to carry it out.
The newsletter is different. There, you give your consent by signing up, and you can withdraw that consent just as easily with an email to info@getrenova.com. Your address goes to nobody else. We don't sell it, and we don't lend it out either.
How long do we keep your data?
As briefly as possible. A question that has been dealt with doesn't need to sit in an inbox for years, and unsubscribing removes your address from the list.
We don't give an exact period in months here, because we haven't set one yet. A made-up number seems worse to us than an honest blank. If you want to know how long your message will be kept, or want it deleted, just ask; that is a right you have in any case.
Does this site use cookies or trackers?
No. No tracking cookies, no marketing pixels, no analytics from a third party watching what you click. If that ever changes, you'll read about it here first, and where the law requires consent, we'll ask for it.
What are your rights?
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and delete your data, and the right to object to processing. Send your request through the contact form or directly to info@getrenova.com; we respond on weekdays. If you are not satisfied with how it is handled, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or with the supervisory authority in your own EU country.
